If you search Google for 'Dublin Pride', it displays a rainbow banner

Tech giant shows support for LGBT Pride.

WELL, THIS IS a bit lovely. To celebrate Pride Month, Google has added a rainbow banner to all LGBT-related searches.

So, for example, if you search for ‘Dublin Pride’ a rainbow banner is generated across the top. Like so:

The same applies to searches for the likes of ‘LGBT,’ ‘marriage equality,’ and ‘gay pride’.

Google has marked Pride Month for the past number of years, frequently adding some pizazz to its search engine to mark the occasion. Below is last year’s incarnation:

It’s not the first time the tech giant has stood in solidarity with the LGBT movement this year. Back in February, the company put up a Google Doodle showing support for LGBT athletes competing in the Winter Olympics.

Meanwhile, Google has also rainbow-fied its logo at its New York headquarters for the duration of the month of June.
